Running a restaurant is tiring enough as is. Keeping your establishment clean can be the last thing you want to deal with. But it’s likely one of the most important! But staying clean in such a large location can be hard, especially if you aren’t knowledgeable about where to look and clean. But paying attention doesn’t need to be a full-time task. The essential thing is to know when and where to look for tidiness problems.
Your customers care about at least 3 things: the appearance of your staff, the look of the dining establishment grounds, consisting of the parking lot and entrance, and the appearance of the whole dining room, consisting of filling station, cashier locations or bars. You’ll need to switch on your grime radar whenever you monitor each of these locations.
Teach servers to pay attention to themselves by turning on their individual radar. That can all go to squander if servers are not clean and presentable.
The next chance to turn on your radar is whenever you’re working the floor. You need to constantly be looking for any cleanliness problems throughout the various stations and work areas. This, of course, include the places beneath the surface. The unseen places such as gutters, drains and the interior of different appliances can collect more grime, grease and grit than almost any surface area. These nasty collections will start to smell and negatively affect everything in and around it. This includes deep cleaning carpets. Be sure to keep your radar on for thing on and below the surface level!
Lastly, take a look around whenever you get in or leave the restaurant. Your consumers will notice the condition of your car park, your entrance, your indicators, your windows, etc. Turn on your radar as quickly as your dining establishment comes into view– and keep it on till your dining establishment drops from sight as you leave.
